What’s the difference between the Orbit and the existing Rocketbook notebooks?

The Orbit is Rocketbook’s official attack on the legal pad. It features the same infinitely reusable pages used in the Rocketbook Core, Fusion, and Mini notebooks but with a brand new top-bound form with new Page Packs that can be flipped, flopped, swapped, and switched instantaneously.

Last updated: February 20, 2020 14:05

Are there more Page Pack options?

Affirmative! While your Orbit will come with one standard, half dot-grid/half lined Page Pack, we also offer add-ons of additional Page Packs for you to choose from. Currently, the planned packs are Lined + Dot-Grid Combo, Lined + To-Do List Combo, Lined + Weekly Planner Combo, Lined, Dot-Grid, Graph, Cornell Notes, and Music Staff. Each pack will have 40 pages total (20 front and back).

How do I clean the Orbit Page Packs?

Like the Rocketbook Core, Fusion and Mini notebooks, the endlessly reusable pages of the Orbit erase with moisture and a wipe down with the included microfiber cloth. We also sell some pretty nifty Rocketbook spray bottles for on-the-go moisturized erasing convenience.

Can I heat or microwave the Rocketbook Orbit to erase it?

No! Erase your Orbit by applying moisture and wiping it off. You’re not crazy for asking this, though, as the Rocketbook Wave (available at GetRocketbook.com) is designed to be microwave safe, so you can erase the whole notebook with heat in the microwave (or use a strong hairdryer, page by page)

Please note that when you erase the Rocketbook Wave in a microwave, slight residue from clear ink remains on the page, so it’s not endlessly reusable like the Orbit is. We’ve had customers tell us they used the Rocketbook Wave over 20 times, but we say it’s good for 5 uses to set expectations modestly. The Rocketbook Orbit, like the Core, Fusion and Mini, is actually an endlessly reusable Rocketbook product.

What kind of pen can I use?

We recommend you only use a Pilot FriXion pen or marker with your Rocketbook Orbit. FriXion ink is washable and that, in conjunction with our synthetic paper, is what allows the Orbit to erase using only a cloth dampened with water.

Your Rocketbook Orbit comes with one FriXion pen and we offer add-ons of 3 packs for convenience. But you aren’t limited to purchasing pens from us. FriXion pens are made by Pilot and are available in many stores, like Staples, Walmart, Target, and Amazon.com, and are available in a wide variety of sizes and colors of both pens, markers, and highlighters. Letter sized Orbit: 9.33” x 13.07” Letter sized pages: 8.5” x 11”

Executive sized Orbit: 6.75” x 10.71” Executive sized pages: 6” x 8.8”

How do Orbit Page Packs connect to the base?

With a cutting edge, space age technology, that’s been years in the making: magnets.
The metal loops that hold the Page Packs together are held snugly in place by magnets embedded in the Orbit’s backing. Easy to pull out and swap packs, but strong enough to keep your pages safely secured.

Last updated: February 27, 2020 11:28

Will moisture degrade the pages?

Nope! The Rocketbook Orbit pages are a synthetic poly-blend that are impervious to water.

Last updated: February 21, 2020 05:12

Are you really from the future?

We can’t answer that. But yes.

Last updated: February 21, 2020 05:12

The legal pad was designed in 1888? No wonder it’s so boring!

That’s not really a question, but we completely agree. One-use legal pads are like the ugliest design combined with the worst way to waste paper. That’s why we designed the Rocketbook Orbit to be reusable, customizable, and have a style fit for space.

How is the Rocketbook app different from any other photo/scanner app?

For starters, our free Rocketbook app will auto-crop and color-pop your notebook pages to create a crisp and clear scanned image that standard photos can’t compete with.

Additionally, you’ll be able to scan and upload documents (even multi-page files) directly to various cloud destinations like Dropbox, Google Drive or your email in mere seconds. This space-tacular convenience isn’t matched by a standard scanning app.

We also offer certain OCR features that can transcribe your handwritten notes when sent to specific cloud destinations, create custom Smart Titles for your files, and allow your notes to be searched by keyword within the app using our Smart Search.

Want to take a test flight? We offer free PDF downloads of Rocketbook pages for trial runs of the free Rocketbook app. Download our app and give it a try today. BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
